I like Monty Python.

But, in truth, 99% of comedy is unfunny, British or otherwise.
But the Americans are masters of comedy. I think it was a skit called "Bush gets Re-Elected," where we get this real fascistic idiot in office both terms. Now THAT is comedy.

i tend to dislike british humor as well, but i thought THTV was hilarious.

my favorite prank was the one where dom jolly dressed up as a cop, walked up to a car stopped at a red light and told him that he wasn't allowed to park there.

Oh for the love of whores, come on now. There is SHITLOADS of hilarious comedy. PLENTY more than 1%. Sure, not much comedy is original these days, but that dosen't mean it's not funny as living hell.

This "99% of such and such" stuff isn't ideally the best way to look at things. It's just an excuse to not be optimistic, and bash things as you see fit.

99% of what I've seen, should I say.
And what the fuck are you rambling about? If I don't like something, I don't like it. What is all this 'optimistic' stuff about?

Assuming you automatically think that 99% of things aren't great, then you're not going to see things in a very good light from the beginning. It closes your mind to a lot of stuff.

99% of what I've seen. But it doesn't spoil me. Like, I watched Wild Hogs in the theatre expecting it to be lame, and it turned out to be a riot. I'm not close-minded, just pessimistic.
